Family Tasks & Rewards

Give family chores a clear finish line. InSyncCircle connects assigned tasks, children’s submissions and parent-set rules for points, stickers and rewards.

Official feature illustration. Screens and available features depend on the current app.

Give each chore a clear finish line

Create a task in the parent view with a description, participants and timing. Replace “tidy up” with something a child can check, such as “put the caps on the markers and return them to the box.”

Set the task’s points, stickers or other supported rewards, and decide whether approval is required. Review every rule before saving, including any draft prepared from a template or with AI.

Let children take part, then follow the agreed rules

Children can see their tasks and submit what they have done. Where the task supports it, they can add a short explanation or evidence.

A submission is not an approval when parent review is required. Tasks without that requirement follow their configured completion rules. If a step is missing, name that step instead of adding a new standard after the work is done.

Connect earned rewards with promises you can keep

Points, stickers and prizes have their own rules. Parents can define prizes and redemption costs; children can request a redemption under those rules. A redemption record and actually delivering a prize are separate steps.

A reward can be choosing a family activity or reading together, rather than another purchase. Keep points, stickers and allowance distinct, and explain any exchange the family chooses to configure.

Try the whole loop with one small chore

This fictional example shows a family agreement. The amounts and reward choices are not fixed app rules.

Putting away markers: agreement to follow-through
StageWhat the family does
Parent sets the taskBefore dinner, cap the markers and return them to the box. A parent will check.
Child submitsFollow the two steps and submit completion; add a photo if it is needed.
Parent checksCheck those two steps without adding “clean the whole desk” afterwards.
Reward and reviewRecord the agreed reward. If a family activity is redeemed, agree on when it will happen.

Start with one task before building a system

Try one recurring situation first. Can your child understand the task? Does someone check it in time? Is the reward easy to deliver? Keep the parts that work before adding more chores.

A task plan supports a conversation; it does not guarantee a change in behavior. Available rewards, permissions and screens depend on the current app and family settings. Check the plans page for subscription differences.

Common Questions

Does every task need parent approval?

No. Parents choose the review requirement when setting up a task. Completion and rewards follow the rules configured for that task.

Can we start without a complicated reward system?

Yes. Begin with a clear description and a way to confirm completion. The companion guide also includes a blank chart you can print.

Make one agreement and follow it through before adding more tasks.
